Add an online shop with Shopify

With Shopify’s “Buy Button”, you sell products directly on your website – without having to rebuild the website. You manage products, prices and stock at Shopify; EasyWeb AI embeds the shop on your website. No prior knowledge is needed.

  1. Create a Shopify account

    • Create an account at shopify.com.
    • Choose a plan that includes the “Buy Button” (Shopify offers an inexpensive plan for this – current prices are listed at Shopify).

  2. Set up payment, shipping and taxes

    • Under “Settings → Payments”, set up your payment methods, e.g. card and TWINT.
    • Under “Settings → Shipping”, define where you deliver and what shipping costs (or “local pickup”).
    • Under “Settings → Taxes”, set up VAT if you are VAT-registered.

  3. Add products

    • Under “Products”, create each item with name, price, photos and – if needed – stock level.

  4. Create a Buy Button

    • Under “Sales channels”, click “+” and add the “Buy Button” channel.
    • Choose “Create Buy Button”: “Product” for a single item or “Collection” for several items at once.
    • Adjust the colour and text of the button to match your website and choose whether a shopping cart is shown.
    • Click “Next” and copy the code shown.

  5. Embed it in EasyWeb AI

    • In EasyWeb AI, open the “AI Editor” from the menu.
    • Paste the copied code into the chat and add where the shop should go – e.g. “Embed the shop on a new page called Shop and link it in the menu”.
    • Check it in the preview (on your phone too) and publish.

Good to know

  • From now on, you change products, prices and stock at Shopify – the shop on your website updates by itself.
  • Payment is made on a secure Shopify page. You will find orders in the Shopify admin and in the Shopify app.
  • Make a test purchase before launching. And mention in your Privacy Policy that orders are processed via Shopify.
